The Army has been working on various robotic supply vehicles (such as the MULE pictured to the left) to no avail. The complexity of these projects range from completely autonomous supply trucks (and battle tanks) down to small ATV-scale vehicles meant to keep pace with marching troops while carrying their gear for them.
An off-the-shelf ATV or side-by-side with Land Rover’s technology, even at the limited degree it’s been demonstrated, will give the Army what it spent the better part of two decades trying to get on its own.
