Don’t, unless of course you are a middle-aged woman with no kids.

Originally meant to be a limited run in the UK but for some reason they scrapped that idea. 2.0L engine, pretty much a 900 I think. I also think some came with turbos. That’s all I really kinda know.

Don’t they have the structural rigidity of spray -on cheese? Also, turbos break. A lot.

Are you buying for a middle aged woman with no kids?

According to this book yes
, but then they decided to make more SE variants in which in turn means more SE’s. It might be worth a purchase if you’re looking into 900’s.

With all saabs watch for electrical issues that have to do with the lights. Those problems become expensive quickly. If you’re in the northeast or the midwest watch for rust on the rear wheel arches.

Just bought this for $400 last month. It is running and driving but has a somewhat blown headgasket. At lest the top works

These cars are outstandingly reliable.
Anyone who doesn’t own one will swear the opposite. But I’ve been driving nothing but Saabs for the last 14 years and I swear by these things. My classic 9-3 (which is mostly a 900SE with a facelift) is still going strong with 280,000 miles. No idiot lights on the dash, no other problems. Just don’t neglect it, and it’ll be an outstanding daily driver. Even at this age.

About to get this for like $250 with a bad shock mount. Otherwise completely clean and driveable. Top also works.

They don’t with aftermarket bracing pretty much everywhere, which this has.

That works too as long as she looks like she’ll someday be a middle aged woman with no kids.

Turbo 4 or V6?
I dunno about the 6s but the 4s generally suck. Saab enthusiasts will claim 300k+ is about these cars lifespans, but what they won’t tell you is that they payed for the car about 10 times by then.

When people see him in it they’ll just assume he stole it from a middle aged woman with no kids.

You gotta love that depreciation! Also, eeuroparts.com I highly recommend this company for parts.
