So apparently a tropical depression or storm or some bullshit will be hitting my area (southwest of Houston) starting tonight/tomorrow morning. You see that yellow part of the map (10-14” of rain expected)? That’s where I live.

If any Californians would like some of this stupid rain that we keep getting, please bring all the containers you can muster and put them all around my house. Because apparently I live in this mystical area that rain is attracted to, and it’s getting old.

Also, no car washing for me this week.

Most areas would. In Marin our reservoirs are almost full. The last 100 years have been very wet in comparison to what the tree ring studies have shown for the last 1000. LA is a desert, shouldn’t be there!

All of the area lakes are completely full here, and have been spiking over flood stage. The local river (Brazos) is still covering a lot of low-lying areas with water.

It'll be an interesting 48 hours.
