Yes, it’s time for a Swedish two stroke that’s not a Saab.
I was all set to post a modern Husqvarna 250cc bike (still made, unlike most other two stroke two wheelers) but there’s a problem. Husqvarna’s bike division is now even less Swedish than Volvo Cars. They’ve been bought and sold by Cagiva and BMW and are now owned by KTM and are based in Austria.
Have instead a Novolette moped from the time when Husqvarna bikes were still Swedish.
The rest of the Husqvarna business is still based in Sweden. Interestingly the town they began in is now spelled Huskvarna following spelling reforms in Sweden.
Here’s a product of the original Husqvarna, a robotic lawnmower (which somewhat surprisingly is made in Britain).
