Saw these guys at the “Moving On Tour” featuring Chelsea Grin, Upon a Burning Body, Blessthefall, and headliners Asking Alexandria. Being the smallest name by far, the crowd wasn’t really feeling it for The Family Ruin, but after going home and enjoying the entirety of their debut album I’d definitely attend another concert now that I know their songs.

Is that considered metal core now? As someone who grew up in the early 2000’s hardcore scene, I fucking hate metal core. That’s stuff sounds much worse than what I’m used to hearing from those girl hair wearing bands. So many fights at metal core shows during that time between college jocks and hardcore kids.
