I feel like ripping on the Camry is a bit like jumping on the bandwagon. It is our (Opponauts) go-to beigemobile of boringness and blandness but all this leaves out the fact that it executes its intended purpose excellently: to convey people who don’t give a shit from point A to point B in economy, comfort, and safety. However, nowhere in that edict is the mantra “fun to drive.” At least no more than any other mid/large sedan to the people who try hard enough.
I am considerably impressed that someone had the gall to ask though. The resounding “no” notwithstanding.

I don’t know, apparently the V6 is actually rather peppy, although pretty much every other car in the class blows it out of the water, even the rental car special Malibu.

I notice on oppo that negative-related discussions have the most replies. Like, “How can i make a post that will make me popular? Talk about my car? My dreams? Repair tips? NAHHHH. Ripping on the Camry is boring predictable thing to to...especially when there are plenty of other terrible cars to choose from.
That having been said. The fun to drive is pretty low. Not the lowest on the list...not by a LONG shot...but pretty low.

There are lots of really good cars that are uninspiring to drive. Doesn’t make them suck, that’s just not what they’re good at. Honestly, I’d give the Camry an “Average” because it defines the term, and you’ve got to put something in the middle between sports cars and pickup trucks or vans.

Yes, the Camry is boring and uninspired to drive...
But the interior is quite nice. The inside of a 15 SE is quite a nice place to be.

I’ve said it before, if you can’t have fun in a car it’s not the car’s fault.
That said, some cars you have to try harder than others.

I don’t hate the Camry, quite the opposite. I’m just a bit befuddled why someone would go through the expense of developing a Facebook poll (this is the first I’ve seen of it so I assume there had to be some development work with the app) to ask if Camrys were fun to drive. It’s like the person proposing the poll had no idea why people think some cars are fun to drive while others aren’t.
I’ll do better next time.

That’s a really nice interior. The last few Toyotas I’ve been in have had terrible interiors.
