Which spindle-grille Lexus is least ugly?

For the uneducated, a spindle-grille is a large hourglass shaped grille adopted by Lexus. Many say it looks ugly, I don’t think so, but I’m the minority. So which one wears this grille best?

And no, partial spindle grilles like the 2011 CT 200h don’t count. It must be a full spindle grille outline, even if it has a bumper piece running through the middle.

I like the RC. I’m a fan of the spindle, it looks different, which is apparently bad now unless Cadillac does the spindle with LED’s. Though, the LX and GX do look awful with it.

This messes with my mind. So uncertain about the color, yet I absolutely love matte paint.

Everyone followed the accent lighting fad, why is it that matte paint has taken so long to become a thing (and really isn’t available yet)? I would have paid extra for a matte white factory paint job on my car...

Oh yeah, the LF-SA is hideous.

The NX concept just has way too much styling; it’s unnecessary and wasteful as time goes on.

Take a look at Marc Newson’s Ford concept from 1999...

As for the Lexus concepts of late, they are sheer ridiculousness, the polar opposite.

All I’m saying is automakers need to strike a balance between the two. Personally, I think this concept looks more modern and forward-thinking than the origami Lexus.

I do love me some ridiculous, chrome-covered Harley Earl concepts though!
