I am aware my cable organization is a shitshow, no need for reminder.

Based on the keyboard, I’m going to go with Apple Maps.
Otherwise Kinja is the obvious answer

Brought to you by the fine folks at the Lucas Electrics School of Engineering.

None. No real server room has an Apple keyboard in it. Of course that still leaves Kinja as a viable answer.

Bwahaha hahhaha that’s true!
I've seen modern buildings using Dell At101W keyboards in their server rooms. Can't explain it.

It makes total sense. Big mechanical keyboards don’t wear out and can take the pounding that only a frustrated IT person can dish out.

My company before they hired me.
*Yeah, I’m pretty much a rock star sys-net-admin.
Turned a profit out of and overhead department, what what!!

There is almost (almost!) no reason that service groups can’t make at least some money. People will pay for value, every time. It’s just a problem of being able to deliver 1) it (the service) and 2) the understanding in the customer’s brain of their benefit. #2 is harder many times.

Not sure where you were going, I meant that I’m a corporate IT sys-net-admin. My department does not typically need to generate any revenue. We do not interact with our customers because IT is not the service that my company provides.

I miss my IBM Model-M keyboards. I want one but unfortunately in today’s environment it needs a Meta key (what is called a Windows key these days.)

I’m typing on my Unicomp Model M right now! No Windows key, but you can order one with a Windows key if you need it!

You should also buy one to support American industry. They’re all made in a tiny little factory in a residential neighborhood in Kentucky.

Oh, the comment is simply that services have value, that value can be monetized, and there are a gazillion businesses that don’t seem to understand that. Turning a profit out of an overhead dept. etc. I remember when I learned in school a million years ago that 40% of IBM’s 70’s and 80’s revenue was services and consulting.
