Nice. Try to shuffle the wheel through your hands less. When doing spirited driving, it’s better to keep your hands in the same spot (9 and 3) if possible, that way you always have orientation of what’s center.

Just based of watching other drivers, your advice is probably right. That said, I’ve never lost track of the position of the wheel; I drive the way I do because my left elbow is wedged firmly between the door card and the armrest for lateral support (and I’m basically pressing on the wheel with my right arm for support on that side... and my left knee is glued to the door card.. I’m literally bracing myself). Whenever I try to drive more symmetrically, I always feel like I’m going to fly out the window going around a bend. Being super skinny kinda sucks. I’m not gangsta leaning either; my seat is setup correctly.

Anyhow, after driving like this for years it’s just as much familiar as it is functional.

Also completely unrelated but I know you’re into videography: I’m going to try make a lens hood out of thick paper or something for this camera (Hero 3) because I know the glare in the video is awful. The trip back (which I didn’t edit into a vid because it’s slower) was waaaay better visibility :P

I haven’t experimented with lens hoods on my GoPro but now that you mention it I did see some free plans for a 3D printed one that I’m gonna have my friend print up for me. Let me know how your turns out!

Also, being skinny as fuck, I know that feel of getting thrown around in your seat.

You can actually brace yourself quite well with your left foot on the dead pedal and both hands on the wheel.
