The A/C quit. I was 0% surprised. The compressor just cycles on and off repeatedly with each cycle lasting about a second. And warm air from the vents. It has a very slow leak, obviously. I’m going to recharge it and let it be, unless the leak turns out to be from a cheap part like the $40.00 hose my friend’s S10 leaked through when its A/C crapped out.
I got $20.00 loaded onto my AutoZone rewards card, so I bought these.
The truck had some on it when I bought it, but they were as old as the truck itself and were hopelessly cracked and brittle.
I mostly got the new ones to cover up the 20-year-old adhesive remnants from the old ones.
I drove it for the first time in two weeks on Friday and the tach was stuck at zero for most of my drive. Halfway to work, it sprang to life. Ah, the randomness of an old GM product.

You’re lucky you get a tach. Heck, my GM product doesn’t even have a water temperature gauge!
