Im hanging out with one of my friends/teammates who just happens to be the son of a former NHL player (he’d like to remain anon-ish) so we’re drinking Canada’s finest only beer sold here.

I hear there are worse beers. I also hear there are plenty that are a lot better. Have you tried Alexander Keith’s?

Ive had the Lager and its pretty good, definitely a step above Labatt and Molson but in the grand scheme its nothing particularly special

Apparently stuff by the Waterloo Brewing Co. is pretty good, according to my drinking friend (I don’t drink, so I have no idea).

Yuengling Black & Tan. Truly the best cheap beer there is.

You cant drink much of it though, it is delicious however. I like Premium the most from Yuengling but as for cheap beer Im pretty partial to a lot of the Genesee stuff

I just used up my last olive.
That’s Door County Distillery Gin . I’m a sucker for my local Wisconsin products, booze included. It just so happens to be excellent.
I also have lots of kitchen accoutrements.

Bottle of water infused with chemicals aka Nestle Pure Life water. Had a glass of red wine with dinner, Oreno by Tenuta Sette Ponti to be exact.

Do you like your martinis dirty?

Martini is kinda my utility vermouth. If I was truly legit that would be a bottle of Dolin but that’s harder to find and Martini is in every grocery store liquor section. Generally...I keep my bar cabinet pretty well stocked.

Ive drank far too much of it to enjoy it anymore, which is actually pretty sad since its a pretty good beer for what you pay

No. I like my martinis to be roughly 90% gin, 7% vermouth, and 3% olive (as in whole olives, not olive brine).
My gf drinks dirty vodka martinis and goes overboard with the olive brine. I have to buy her jars of straight up olive brine because otherwise she pours out all the brine from our olive jars and the olives go bad.

I had the chance to stay on an actual vineyard in Tuscany a couple years ago, basically ruined 95% of the red wine and olive oil on the market for me

So youre having a beer with the son of a famous sports player?
I met John Elway once, I was wearing a dolphins jersey (not on purpose, his kids went to the same orthodontist as me, I just ran into him)

Gin & tonic.
Beefeater & Canada Dry, to be specific.

That would be a pretty cool trip to go on! I agree though, too much of something will ruin it forever, hence why I only have a glass with dinner once in a while. I usually go for a nice glass of rum or bourbon when I get home from work.

If you’ve never had Yuengling, I highly recommend it. It’s good cheap beer. It’s the only thing I drink every year on vacation down in South Carolina and I make sure to bring a few cases home to share with friends.
