The Nürburgring has suuuuch good feed back, even if I haven’t been able to finish it yet. And the 235i race car is rad, and the 4C has weird gearing (at least for the ‘ring)

Wait, wasn’t this released ages ago. I remember them making a whole song and dance about how they were the first people to laser scan the Nurburgring. That said Turn 10 actually beat them to the punch and they went all quiet which is probably why I missed it.

No. EA still have that lockdown. However there might be hope in the future since it appears Horizon 2 is getting Porsche DLC that said they have the backing of Microsoft’s billions.

Release date was in march. I need to try back to back sessions in pCARS and AC, so far pCARS feels like something that you be more enjoyable to jump in and play/look around, whereas AC feels like you would jump in to get a slightly more realistic feel in. I really need to get some optomized setup files in AC and see if that makes a big difference. I think pCARS has a much better UI and menu system, except when car livery is concerned. I just wish they could both share each others car lists.

Well AC is being released on Consoles so I’ll be able to do a comparison between Forza 6, Project Cars and Assetto Corsa. Should be very interesting to see what is the most enjoyable. AC will probably be the most Authentic but Forza will probably have the most variety and content. Maybe PC will be awkwardly stuck in the middle, who knows since it is all about fun in the end but it will an interesting coming year for racing games either way.

Unless you got a wheel and pedals ac is hard to have fun with. Luckily I have both . Unfortunately pcars physics are just so bad I can’t enjoy it. I can’t even classify it as a sim to be honest. Gtr2 dwarfs it in that department and it’s ancient

I honestly don’t think pCARS has that bad of physics, but then again I haven’t done back to back races in both games.

me too. I just can’t get a feel for pcars like I can with ac, or rfactor 1 & 2, Ltd, etc etc. I’ve tried everything I could think of but the car and ffb to the wheel just feels disconnected to me. And my club sport v2 pedals don’t seem to like pcars for some weird reason either

I have heard that cranking the individual FFB settings on a per car basis to like 90 makes everything feel much better. I wish game devs would publish a “suggested settings” for each supported wheel, it can’t add THAT much development time.

If Assetto wants more buyers they ought to be doing 1)weather 2) more tracks

The dream pack added a later scanned nurburgring, I don’t know if they can or will implement weather. It would be cool.
