I’m a very lucky person as I have been selected (as have several others) to spend a day with Toyota GB (even though I own a Subaru :D) to take part in a more grown up petrol head version of a school sports day in 4 different Toyota’s one of which is the GT86, below is the activities in which I will be partaking, to say I’m excited is an understatement of the year, the 20th June can’t come soon enough
Egg and Spoon
It’s an old favourite, but we’re updating it by using a giant spoon mounted to the front of a Toyota !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Hybrid. A giant spoon needs a giant egg, so we’ve got some of those too. Drive the Auris Hybrid around an obstacle course faster than your rival without dropping the egg from the spoon.
Penalty shoot out
Simple – two contestants take it in turns to punt a football towards a goal. Five shots each, most goals wins. The twist? The football’s enormous, and the boot is a Toyota !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
Balance the basketball
Racing in twos, drivers jump into a Toyota !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and navigate a course. A giant basketball is held on a net suspended in the truck’s bed, and the aim is to finish the course without the ball rolling off.
Barrel drift autotest
Strap into the Toyota !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for some sideways action as competitors navigate a barrel-filled course as fast as they can. Time penalties are added for not getting the back end out!
I particularly like the last line above, actively encouraging you to get the back end out and have a blast
