OK, yeah, they are overpriced, but they had my triple square bit set in stock! Woohoo! Onto brake caliper removal and fixing everything else! No related pictures because I ain’t showing you my messy garage.

BMW: Local dealer had windshield gasket in stock. Replaced.
Ford: Local dealer got the motor clip and washer jets in a day.
Mini: Still need tires.
Audi: Eventually will rebuild the brakes. Maybe this weekend.

Napa does usually stock odd ball stufd like that. I hate triple squares! Really who invented that? A normal bolt isnt good enough? Its like having to use a stupid wheel lock key. I was able to make a 3/8 extension work to remove those once.

Napa is my go-to for parts stores, both the stores near my parent’s house and the one in my old college town were ran by really cool car guys, makes getting parts so much better.

Had not heard a 12 point referred to as a triple square before. I like my local NAPA store. The guys there seem to have been around for a while and are very knowledgeable. Plus they have a warehouse locally and can get what you want the same day.

Usually if you have a Robertson (Square) driver, that works best if you don’t have triple square.

There’s 12 point spline, and 12 point triple square. Slightly different, they are.

One is based off a hexagon (double hex) and one is based off Robertson drive (superimposed thrice at 30 degrees)

Double Hex and then triple square, and finally spline:
