Found on the for sale portion of that Connecticut Land Rover shops page. Much want and actually much affordable. Time to say goodbye to my disco?

Man, that’s such a clean Defender.

Non NAS Defender from 1986 with a 300Tdi engine? That thing is headed for the crusher.

Nice defender. I was going to trash its price, but then I read through everything that had been done. It looks pretty much perfect. Offer 32k and you're set.
I have to admit I would love to have this in my garage

So close right?

It might be fine, but with what they’ve done to it and how they’ve done it, you’d never convince the Feds. At this point I think they’re fully robotic with a checklist, and “Defender badge” and non-matching engine + close import date = that’s all she wrote, even if perfectly legal. Because they are asshats.

As long as it’s had the shim done on the timing belt tensioner and the chassis is good, then it’s probably OK. I have no idea whether NP or CP stateside. At least it looks like it’s been cared for considering the comprehensive write up.

Inclined to agree and that makes me sad. You would think they had enough crap to deal with in government and prosecuting cops who murder citizens left and right, but nah bro they need to go ahead and crush your car.

I am just curious as to why people always put Defender badges on One-Tens and Ninetys.

Have to keep our roads safe from those villains in dangerous imported trucks that go 60mph downhill... with a tail wind.

Lol, worse than a Wrangler

Maybe just because the Defender is forbidden fruit over there. Looks like a Defender, drives like a Defender, leaks like a Defender; it’s a Defender. Apparently.

Hey. The 300tdi is good for 65mph on level ground.

True, but at that point you start loosing parts and feel like you’re going to die.
