It’s well kept, but I’m not sure why anyone would bother.

Why not? It’s cheap, clean, unusual, and has more power (but less torque) than a new GTI. I bet it’s a blast to drive.

It was faster than an E28 M5 in a straight line. That’s why.

They didn’t built 1208 v6 Camry’s though. And that’s neither turbo’ed or manual.

I was just pointing out the irrelevance of 0-60 times when talking about what makes a good car. At the end of the day, it’s a K-car sort of like how at the end of the day, a Hellcat is a bloated family car. This could just be because I hate pretty much all things Mopar and their history of trying to overcome crap with more power. Their solution to everything seems to be “bigger engine.” PT Cruiser Turbo, Caliber SRT4 , TC by Maserati (better known as a less reliable LeBaron)... I just can’t take a K car seriously no matter how powerful it is. The exception is the Omni GLH and GLHS. I like those ones, but would still probably prefer to tune my own base model with the VW engine.

Word, 1991 was a weird year. This was the quickest sedan, and the quickest of them all was a gmc pickup lol
I love these things because they ARE just K cars with big power. I'd rock a glhs too!

Love these. I have a ‘92 IROC RT Daytona that has been in a constant state of repair because the engine is so hard to source. Great sleepers.

Well for one thing, it was actually faster going 0-60 than a manual Taurus SHO of the same era.
