Yes, as !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , my A8 is headed to the shop today, for a stay of at least 24 hours. The list of problems, all of which started within the last month, include:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
-*A check engine light, for the first time since I’ve owned the car.
-A noise from the right rear wheel, which sounds like rocks in a tumble dryer.
-*The horn, which is a two note, only one of which is working
-*The sunroof, which took me 20 minutes to get to close one night. Has worked fine since.
-The brakes, which have gone back to screeching like a freight train and producing copious amounts of brake dust.
-The right front tire, which has bubbled yet again at the hands of a pothole.
-*The speakers on the left side of the car, which cut out almost completely for one day, then came back.
-The oil, which is coming out of the engine and onto the garage floor.
-Some plastic vent cover from under the hood which I pulled off and now can’t figure out where it goes.
* !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! or issue that only happened once. I’m still in love with my car, but I’ll love it even better once this laundry list is taken care of.

Re: intermittent electrical issues..
Lucas died, and was reincarnated as Bosch. That’s all you need to know.

I peg it as a $2200 visit if you get everything fixed. Price is right rules

TL;DR: Your car just realized it’s a 20-year-old Audi.

lol dork :] But if he is really going to take to a shop for this, I think somewhere around $2200- $2500 seems right. If my fellow Audi bro lived near by, we can do all that over the weekend. He’ll just have to cover the parts and pizza bill :]

I know, I was hoping it would remain confused for a while longer. Still, I don’t *think* it’s anything major.
Also, 14.

Next it’ll be getting racing stripes and running around with some sketchy purple Geo.

I hope everything goes well and your Audi keeps being as reliable.

So do I.
As far as actual reliability goes, it hasn’t missed a beat.
Also, I’ve put over twelve thousand miles on it in the ten months I’ve owned it. Holy crap.

Ah, the end of the honeymoon.
I remember when the Lincoln decided I had gotten enough worry free fun out of her...ah, memories.

Sounds about right. My Audi is currently jonesing for some brake caliper rebuilds (Twin piston Lucas HP2s), the truck decided that today was not the day that the wipers would continue to work (while it’s pouring rain), and my Mini is pouting in the corner with a flat tire.
The BMW is pretty lucky. It just wants a new rubber moulding around the windscreen.

Did you run codes for the CEL?
Sunroof motors shouldn’t cost too much if you even need one of those.
The rest just sounds like wear and general maintenance items, stuff that all cars experience. Fuck everybody who things all VAG products are unreliable.
In four days, me and my ‘97 A4 will have been together for one trouble free year!

He said it was probably just a wrong code, he will run it for us.

So what? You can take a nice evening drive or a late night [fast-food-of-choice] run, and not get stuck :)
In case you were wondering why the peach was ousted :p

We didn’t look at the horn, sunroof, or speakers, since all were working fine, but they did all the rest plus an oil change, power steering fluid, tire rotation, and an adjustment to the heat shield on one of the brakes.
$115
