My advice: Buy two. One for you and one for me.

AFAIK they’re quite good, but they don’t come into my shop and I’m not old to have any first-hand experience aside from oil changes.

I want one too but with a short wheelbase please.

I think that they are fairly reliable cars.

The 560 only came in long wheelbase in the US

I had one, an ‘89. They’re really the last of the hand built Benzes, and the quality is over the top. I bought mine for $1900 and when I took it to my local MB dealer (to get a radio code, of all things) they presented me with an estimate of $10,500 to do everything they thought the car needed. Mind you, the car ran and drove great, and everything worked...they wanted to do a rear main seal, head gaskets it didn’t need, and basically everything else. I sold it a few months later to a gentleman from Spokane, WA (I'm from Rhode Island, by the way) who decided looking at east coast schools with his son would be cheaper and easier if he bought a car rather than renting one.

He drove the car up and down the east coast for two weeks, then back across the whole country without an issue. It was a great car, I wish I still had it, but at the time I was driving 500 miles a week and gas was expensive.

It’s probably quite rare car elsewhere too. But I’m fine with a SEC 560 coupe too as it should be fairly easy to find.
