It’s at a local dealer, they’re asking too much on CL and their Buy-it-Now, and I’m sure the reserve is higher than my bid, but I’m the highest bidder!
I should stop now...eventually I’ll end up in a bidding war and accidentally buy a Corvette on ebay...

Financial. I really shouldn’t drop the cash on it now. Especially since I haven’t even tried to sell my CRX yet...

‘96 automatic coupe with 141,000 miles. It looks nice. They want $9k, it’s probably not completely unreasonable but seems high.

I wouldn’t touch an automatic personnally... They are quite a bit slower too and the manual with the ZF6 is pure awesomness. A sports car is not made to be automatic unkess it’s a modern one with fast shifting and so on.
9000$ is a good price if it comes with a LT4 engine (red heads), if not, it’s a bit expensive for an automatic with that much mileage...
I personnally paid 9000 canadian $ for my manual LT1 and sold it for 8500 over a yea later. But it was a manual, rebuild everything but the engine, rebuild interior too, new paint...etc etc etc. On the other hand the car had 180.000 miles :)

I don’t really want an automatic either. I mostly just bid on it as a joke, but if I win at my price (or even a little bit higher) it wouldn’t be bad. It’d hold me over for a C5 or C6

I will say this: an auto C4 will make a great autocross car (which I suspect is important to you, sir). If I recall, there were a handful of them running the Wichita SCCA scene when I lived there about 7 years ago. Most of those guys could run the whole course in first gear, which worked perfectly. Good tires, Koni Yellows, and a harness and you can probably scare most of the wrong-wheel-drive guys to death.

I already scare a bunch of the RWD guys in my FWD hatch.
