I don’t have time for road rage. I drive like a pretty ordinary guy. But this morning after I dropped my wife off at work, I had to wait at a stop sign to merge from her office park to a divided, busy main road with a 55 mph speed limit. Some dude behind me decided I wasn’t moving fast enough because I was waiting for oncoming traffic to pass before I pulled out. He began blowing his horn and making a scene. I saw him flipping the bird and yelling at me in the rearview.
It’s moments like that when I wish I still had a beat-up old car. Because I could have turned on the hazard lights, popped the hood, and stayed in his way a while.
But when traffic cleared I pulled out and he got stuck waiting to the point that he was still sitting after I made the U-turn. Serves him right.

Smile and wave. That just makes them madder. He was probably on the way to see his cardiologist.

I get really angry at people when they do really dumb things. I try and be calmer but when you decide to slow down from 70 to 40 on the freeway WELL before your off ramp, my initial reaction is to kill you to save the rest of the herd. Usually my rage is only limited to people who are doing something life threatening. Not taking a possible gap at a red light? Don’t matter to me. Running a red light because the person who should be turning left is texting and not looking and the other person who should be turning left has their right turn signal on? (clarification - three idiots. 2 in left turn lanes and one from the perpendicular direction making a left on what is very obviously a red) Holy shitballs you people need to be shot.

I usually throw the ol’ peace sign, too. Man, does that ever make ‘em mad!
