!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on the front page gave me quite a shock, when I realized they were actually talking about me! I wasn’t as excited about it as you’d think, though, because in just a few words on Yahoo news, all my hopes and dreams of anonymous digital infamy were dashed.
These words, to be exact:
According to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, John Deere argued that “letting people modify car computer systems will result in them pirating music through the on-board entertainment system.”
That’s right— pirating music. Through a tractor.
My business proposal must have leaked! I was working on an app that would let people harvest music for their iPotatoes straight from their LTE connected tractors. They’re on to me now...
...automakers want to use [the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)] to try and make working on your own car illegal. Yes, illegal.
Back to the drawing board, I guess. Good catch, John Deer, tractor piracy was going to be a real high volume issue. Glad you nipped that one in the bud.
