Well if its totally restored, which it looks like, it won’t hurt it, everything have been coated and painted and new rubber. Did you look closely? Is it some kind of reproduction?

To be honest, it was pouring down rain and I had to get smoothie king to my fellow employees. I was in a hurry and did a little driveby photoshoot.
Random question - if real, how much would it go for...assuming full restoration?

It's a Talbot Lago. Not sure what model, but I'm positive. The door shape and chrome on the fenders give it away. Here's one in blue.
You spotted an utterly stunning car and I'm extremely jealous. This guy has some brass balls to drive this on the street, especially when it's pouring rain.

It’s a replica of a Talbot-Lago T150 made by a company called “TLC Carrossiers.”
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

It’s a Talbot Lago. Almost no way it’s really, because if it is, it among the most valuable classic cars in the world. We’re talking up to eight figures.

Wow. Thats the kind of information I was looking for. What is a classic repo version worth?

I dunno. I will say this. There are nine of these cars in the world, only one of which is maroon. This is not that car. It is a 1992 recreation, essentially a bespoke reproduction under the Talbot-lago name, but not the actual thing. Still pretty.

Interesting! I work in Clayton. I've seen many awesome cars around there but never this beast.

Additional info:
It’s a replica of a 1938 Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Coupé by Figoni et Falaschi. The taillights are a big give away and it’s not likely that someone would be driving a $7 million dollar car in town, let alone in the rain.

Very cool indeed. However, these kits aren’t cheap either as they cost around $150,000.
In case you’re wondering, these replicas are made by a company called “TLC Carrossiers” and they call their car the “Talbo.”

I knew some made them, I know some Jags repros of D types etc are exact copies, big bucks. I would go for one of those Pur Sangs myself. the tail lights bother me on this one.

Yes, the truly good replicas are quite expensive but very accurate.
Great choice. Their Type 35Bs are truly stunning.
Personally, I think if I was in the market for a replica that I would choose a Broadley T76.
I agree that the taillights do look quite odd.

Haha only in Ladue! I’m surprised I never saw that considering I worked next door to Red L Pizza and also at St. Louis Smoothie for a number of years. Nice find!

It is. It kind of reminds me of the Batmobile.
