Let’s pretend the Car Gods grant you one car to import. What do you pick?
Some guidelines to follow:
1) You will pay absolutely nothing for the car. No taxes, no buying, no import fees, etc. The Car Gods will take care of that.
2) The car will not apply to any import/emissions laws in your country/area, because how dare your government challenge the Car Gods!
3) Once the car is in your possession, you are not allowed to sell it. This means you cannot pick a 250 GTO, sell it, and then live on your own private island.
4) It will be your DD. You will pay for maintenance, fuel, repairs, etc.
I’d pick a Delta Integrale. It looks like a boring old hatchback to normal people so they’ll leave me alone, it’s LHD so nothing crazy, because AWD, because hatchback, and because rallycar.
Also, since I can’t drive it anyway, it’d sit in our garage for a while until I could drive it. So it won’t break until I use it! WIN WIN.

Thing has been out for like half a year, and people are already calling it reliable based on the reputation of the manufacturer alone.

Being a huge fan of the “boring” Chevrolet SS I’d choose an equally vanilla import.
A Falcon XR6 Turbo. A Turbocharged DOHC I6 and a 6 speed manual in a relatively nondescript package. What’s not to like?

TVR Sagaris. Because I’m an idiot. Easy answer is R34 GTR. Less easy is a Zonda.

Some say the UK will, some say it won’t, so you’ll have to just wait for an official announcement.

Well there is basically no fancy technology on the car to go wrong, and the engine’s been in use by Honda’s kei cars for a few years already with no issues.

McLaren F1.
I could just barely afford the upkeep right now (including tires), but it would be so worth it in the long run.
More realistically, any other modern McLaren road car.
Alternately, an Aussie Ford Falcon with the highest/best performance package with a LHD conversion. Or a Jaguar XFR "Estate". Or a brand new Mazda6 wagon.
Dammit, too many choices.
