Kinja'd!!!

Last night I was out for a short bit with my girl, and we met up with a friend of ours - he was playing this at the bar. I was totally unaware this existed, and my girlfriend even has the game from her youth! What the hell?!? French, auto, cards, racing, game. Who else has played this and why didn’t you interrogate me on this earlier? Also bonus Oppo screen name in the lower left card. I will be playing tonight.

I mean it has only been out since 1962

Played this almost weekly in my family. Had a much newer edition, but fun all the same.

Completely offtopic but have you seen this photo before? Peugeot 504 diesel as a New York taxi shot in 1975 in central New York according to this .

My grandparents had a circa-1960s deck in their house. My brothers and I attempted to learn how to play it, but failed miserably. Spent many days playing by our own rules though.

I haven’t seen this particular shot, but I have seen many of the 504’s in the NYC taxi fleet. Cool, thanks for sharing!

They had many of these? I thought this was just some oddball that somehow got into taxi duty.

505’s too! Here is a decent collection of photos including the one above. I have heard through other sources there was 6-10 of each, discounted by Peugeot as test mules for severe American driving http://www.french-cars-in-america.com/2013/10/yellow…

Have the game, never played. Played a game called Touring—it's basically the same.

I played a lot of this in afterschool. When it was Free Time, there was a mad rush for the top-tier stuff like Legos, Erectors, and such, but Mille Bournes was a solid entry in the 2nd tier.

ETA: there were many versions with different artwork, but this is my favorite:

My mother played it when she was little, kept the game her whole life, teached me how to play when I was a kid and gave it to me when I moved out.

I still have it, too. It’s one of my most cherished possession.

Right of Way card IS SO GODDAMN POWERFUL. Someone gets it and 80% of the time they’ll win.

My family would play with two decks to 1500KM, but no Right of Way cards.

Discovered this in college, and spent many hours playing it with friends, mostly in coffee shops for whatever reason. It’s great fun, and a lot of people don’t know about it.
