Three shift levers where once there were two. Other pictures below. I’ve got a little more work to do on the setup (okay, a good bit), but these are the levers.
^Old levers
^New levers, spread out.
Yes, I know my pieces are kind of redneck-looking. The blade on the bandsaw hadn’t been replaced and I had a lot of trouble with the punch.

Looks good. What’s the project?

This would be the Ranchero - converting a 3-on-the-tree column to shift four gears.

Hell yeah, thanks for sharing!
I like the inclusion of the spacers. It reminds me of the guts of a Hurst Competition plus.
Are you going to gusset the two new curved arms? Will they flex at all?

I can’t see gussets being necessary, really - they’re not bent any more than the old ones, and the 304 S/S is pretty hard. Plus, unlike the old ones, they’re not going to be pushing at an angle all the way back *at* the trans since I need a relay lever for each. I overground the spacers a bit and have yet to do a little finish grinding on the levers, so having the spacers work properly may require tweaking (work properly in this case = not turning at all in the column). I will post again when I’ve got the setup more turn-key, at least w.r.t. the column part.

Cool! Just wasn’t sure how much strain they would be under and they appear to be slightly thinner than the originals.

They’re slightly thinner, but not much. The new ones are 11GA, which is to say they’re like .120, and the old ones are more like 5/32 (.157).

Off-topic, but did you see I got my rear suspension half-shafts back yesterday?

Yeah, kinja ate my “I can dig it” post apparently.
Something like “who is the shaft who can split your torque with his brother shaft?”
Half-Shaft!
Can you dig it?

Nice.
