I like to take a healthy swig off a bottle of Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce when cooking with it.

When I was grade school age I once ate 5-6 mustard packets because that was the only thing in our basement fridge and I was too lazy to go upstairs.

yummy, European fish sauce!
I just ordered some “powdered Worcestershire sauce” to try out on the grill this summer. I’m curious and excited to try it. I love Worcestershire sauce but not all the times i use it do I wish for the added moisture it brings to the party. so this powdered stuff has promise.
question: would you do a rail of it if you had the powder?

I also enjoy eating beef bullion cubes, so likely enough. I am like a freaking deer when it comes to salt based products

Wasn’t aware Lea and Perrins existed in the US.
Wasn’t aware that anyone was crazy enough to take a swig.
Do you have Jaffa Cakes in the US?

I do that too, or a handful of seasoned salt - or celery salt, or just salt

Or Cavenders, or Mrs. Dash, or dry rub
There may be an undiagnosed condition here

Let this be a warning to you - do not ever accidentally put Worcestershire on rice instead of soy sauce. The astringent and flavorful bits of the sauce soak into the core of the grains and fuck up the texture, leaving a coating of the oily bits (fish oil, mmm!) and raisiney evil on the outside of the grain with nothing to balance the flavor. It is The Nastiest.

it’s an odd little sponge cake with a dark chocolate coating on one side with a disc of jaffa orange jelly under the chocolate. The orange is really quite sharp but very sweet and mingles nicely with the chocolate and the vanilla sponge. It’s the best selling snack in the UK. I’m sure I saw them in Universal Orlando so they are around in the states somewhere.

Well you see, when I was but a young little asshole, we lived “frugally”. Things that others would take for granted - TV sets, bikes, grass - we saw as a luxury we couldn’t afford. Sometimes we would go weeks, or months, without running water. Sometimes, when pops would finally come home from his long stints “at work” (could have been prison) we would pool our change together and walk down to the corner store. While my mom would be haggling with the shopkeep over the price of a loaf of bread and a fifth of off-brand vodka, us kids would be running around like little dipshits. Little did that small business owner know we were running around with purpose, filling our pockets with things that would go unnoticed for some time. Things like limon salt, beef bullion, half a handful of Dubble Bubble, that kind of stuff.
What we took, we ate. I sustained myself off of bullion cubes and vodka vapors for years

I’m the same way. I’ll also take random hits of Cooking Sherry and Pub Vinegar.
Now this stuff?
Don’t ever taste this stuff straight. Oh my god.. It’s been 5 years and I swear I still burp it up
