The R35 GT-R and the Citroën SM have almost the exact same wheelbase. Imagine this beauty moving at godzilla speeds.
If I win the lottery, I’d like to make this happen.

I’m pretty sure the Citroen parts would melt and congeal into one big French blob.
But holy shit, the SM is only .6 inches longer.

That was the first thing I thought of, but for a slightly different reason. I know the GTR computer was reprogrammed rather effortlessly for the shorter wheelbase on the Juke-R, but different track width in back might do funny things to its brain/model, even if you narrowed the drive setup to work.

An SM without its hydropneumatic suspension is no SM. Any restomod without it would be pointless and stupid. It would be an ambitious goal to mate that system with the Nissan engine.

Pretty sure that’s a lambo bro.

If I were to have all the money in the world and we’re going to do this, I’d start with an old rusted out one with unfixable suspension. Destroying a good SM is a crime but bringing one back to life in any capacity is good. I agree with you, and that’s why I called it an unholy swap.

I know where you can get a donor.

So you haven’t bought it yet? What’s the holdup!?

Imagine it moving under its own power at any speed :p

I doubt you’d get this to work. the SM engine is behind the front wheels. Everything in front of the engine is transaxle, inboard brakes, suspension, diravi and other hydraulic systems.
Now a Porsche flat6 swap might be doable.

you are going to have to widen the SM body quite a bit too

I’d buy that congealed french blob

Stupid, yes. Pointless, no - it’d be worth it the first time you blew the doors off some arrogant exec in an Audi or teenager in a riced out WRX.
In any case, don’t think of it as a restomod on an SM. Think of it as fixing a GTR’s ugliness problem.

You did realize the SM was front wheel drive? I think 500hp on those 205/70 15” in the front would lead to an amazingly wrong roadholding.
