I am awarding myself bonus points for cleaning the largely empty garage, engine bay and vacuuming the interior. I am also willing to accept demerits for the automatic transmission.

Seriously, nice car. That colour is really understated.

What CAI is this? is it the Ford Performance? any gain other than the induction noise?

Thank you! I wanted either blue or black when I was looking at them. I went a bit crazy and went with the blue.

The CAI is a BBK. I haven’t had it dyno-ed but I would say it was worth about 15 or so, but maybe its just placebo affect. When I first installed it, I was able to break traction no problem which I didn’t before hand. Its since received a tune, which I think really takes advantage of the CAI.

Thanks! yeah its a ‘12. IMHO I liked the look of the ‘12s a bit more than the ‘13s and ‘14s.

The ‘13s and ‘14s look more bloated, in my eyes. I know of a few people who don’t see a difference, but they just look a little off.

I bought the car originally for commuting and some spirited driving. At that time I had a lot of stop and go traffic. That and I heard some horror stories about the Getrag MT82. Now I don’t have to deal with the traffic as much. I’ve been toying the idea of swapping to a Tremec Magnum XL sometime in the future. After I do the suspension and brakes.

Mustang GT with an auto is the quintessential American cross-country tourer IMO. As comfortable on the mountain back roads as it is stuck in traffic jams on the beltways of the modern American metropolis.

The drive through garage was a big selling point. However at this point it opens to the backyard which is all rocks. At some point I will pave it.

That plus a tune and it smokes the tires in first and second gear. I’d say it works pretty well.

It just seemed to me that pretty much all the CAIs were about the same so I picked the color I liked. It definitely boosted power. I installed Flowmaster Pro Series Axle back on it. Stock was too quiet. This is rumbly without being antisocial to the neighborhood.

They usually are the same as each other with the odd one that outperforms the rest. I always found the stock exhausts to be too restricting on the Stang. The 2015 is supposed to be even quieter than before.

Auto with paddles is exusable. Without, it isn’t that great.

But my dd is an auto without paddles. So yeah.
