A rotisserie can be extremely useful.

I didn’t have a ronco I had a Sunbeam

It made some tasty chickens and the heating element looks like a penis.

I prefer the DIY approach and built a rotisserie using a windshield wiper motor and an old flywheel.

I don’t own one but I would advise against “mono-taskers” especially around the kitchen. They have a habit of taking up space for infrequent use.

I’d suggest instead getting some good cast iron - Lodge 10.5 inch regular and deep skillets and their Dutch oven all take the same lids. Buy a glass one and the Dutch oven comes with a cast iron one. You can roast in those all day long, stove top or in the oven.
