I just saw a facelifted Sonata in person. I really like it, it looks very grown up, or mature, but not too boring, even a bit agressive. I will admit tho that it does remind me of a new Legacy especially in the grille and headlights.
the Hyundia is a bit sleeker tho, less chunky than the Subaru, they are both great looking cars tho IMO.

Here’s the thing about automotive designs, they are all boring, with a few exceptions. You have to find the beauty in them, you have to take the time to look for the details, and appreciate the time and effort some one took to design the car. Yeah some cars really car just crap, but some just take more time to learn to love. However I liked the new Sonata the moment I saw it.

That looks nothing like a 200 from any angle except
maybe
the rear. The 200’s roof slopes a lot more towards the trunk and the fronts look absolutely nothing alike.

The Sonata’s quarter window is a little different though, it only has that tiniest little bit of kick up at the bottom corner, not as much as all these.

Pretty sure that’s a whole new car and not just a facelift. Maybe a recycled platform but way more than a facelift.
