[There are days when you feel like someone tore your leg off and whacked it at you endlessly everywhere in your body. Today I feel it. I don’t want to feel it again, ever.
Maybe some Super GT and MotoGP can cure me.]

That’s pretty much my life for the past decade or so in gif form.

There was this really amazing street (no traffic, no houses, no parked cars) with a steep slope I wanna bike on. I went there and tore at full speed while off the saddle, then tripped on a large rock while trying to avoid a speed bump at the last, steepest (and therefore fastest) end of the street. Worse, I let go of the handlebar. I tumbled down that hill like Jack and Jill, only it wasn’t worth writing a nursery rhyme about. I rolled down that hill for maybe 15 seconds, with my bike just 10 seconds off my pace.
What am I on, you ask? A single-speed (not fixie) folding bike. Why does it feel like a Fatality? I don’t have a helmet or any other safety gear. Fortunately the street is smooth and that I merely dismounted the bike the wrong way, so the pain feels more like I got a beating than a hack-and slash flick.
Why did I mention the one in italics? There were two things. One, it was good because at least no one would have the accident on tape and that a town official might ban bikers in that street. On the other hand, I had no to turn to for help except me. I was still able to bike home, though, and didn’t really feel the pain until I got home.
Two lessons: Wear safety gear wherever you bike, and don’t be overconfident once you get up to speed without pedaling.

OUCH!
at least bruises will heal.
you’d feel the pain / stiffness when you get up after sleeping.

That’s going on today. And will for the next 2 days.
TBH, the accident is pretty minor, but it’s pretty hard to get back up when you’re banged up and in a 1-in-3 hill.

The good news is Wheelerguy, Kitana has some “elegant” fatalites. :P

None have infinite-loop goodness, though.
