It’s not every day you get to see something so special. I posted this on a certain enthusiast page on a certain social place earlier and wanted to share it here, too. This is one of my favorite historic race cars and I can’t believe I saw it just outside Fresno.

That’s the same one they had on Jay Leno’s Garage, right?
ETA: I just looked up the episode and that one looks different (tail lights, etc.) so probably not the same car.

It’s the same guy’s car, but Jay had the Banshee. It was a bit different.

Oh yes. The biggest difference is that this appears to be a full scale car, whereas the Banshee is a silhouette that’s a lot shorter than a Cutlass.

Mattel really needs to make a Hot Wheels version of this.
They’ve got the casting, and the licensing for at least some of the decals on this thing (Milodon, Hurst, Moons Ind., etc.). Not a whole lot holding them back from making one.
