(It’s a slow day at work).
Anyway, mine would have to be the ‘98 E39 540i that I inherited as my first car. In my eyes, the car was literally perfect aside from 2 things:
1) The cheap cup holders
2) The overheating problem due to flimsy clamps on the rad hose.
Other than that, most solid and comfortable car I’ve owned out of 4 vehicles. It’s also the most sporty car that I’ve had (it can carve corners like nothing) and without a doubt the quickest; I took it up to 234km/h on a back country road one time (used a lot of fuel for that one).

I’ve only owned one car, so I’m gonna stay out of this.

Well I’ve never technically owned a car, but of “my” two cars that are actually owned by my parents, I had the most fun in my 1996 Ford Escort. First car I drove by myself, and I had great time in it. Loved that little roller skate.

I’ve only had three cars, but out of those it’d have to be my E34 wagon. Mine doesn't have the problem of cheap cupholders- it just doesn't have any. Like, at all. It's terrible.

The two cars I currently own that are also street legal. 1988 Peugeot 205 GTI and 2000 Peugeot 406 coupe. I like both more than my recent company car (2014 Focus wagon, diesel, manual) and I like them more than the other cars I own (mk2 Golf and BMW E30 Touring) that aren’t street legal now and I like them more than the cars I’ve sold.

My favourite car is my only car. 94 325i convertible, 5 speed, my first car. I love the way it looks and the way it drives and I love working on it.

My ‘95 4Runner, though technically it’s the only one I’ve ever owned, I had quite a bit of seat time in our ‘05 Shitrolet Impala and ‘02 Shitrolet Trailblazer, so I can easily say it is better in every way. It’s solid, reliable, and will take all the crap I throw at it.

Favorite car: 1984 Rabbit 2dr, 5sp ABA swap. Currently awaiting a new brake booster and upsized brakes/maintenance parts, and about to go under the knife for a shiny lil eaton supercharger.
Second favorite: 2015 GTI SE 4dr manual, freshly lowered on coilovers, weighted short shifter, about to get stage 1+ unitronic software good for 310hp/347tq at the crank.

3 way tie - ‘91 CRX Si was the most fun; ‘87 300D was the achievement; ‘97 SHO was the most reliable. If I had DD one of them today, it would be the SHO. So I suppose that’s my answer.

My current car. ‘04 Cadillac DeVille. So comfy and smooth, looks good as hell. Has a decent bit of power (isn't fast though.)

That Rabbit is just awesome!! Looks like it’s in excellent shape, congrats.
GTI is nice to, that tune sounds like it will make the car a little beast!

Can never go wrong with them Peugeots!!

I see you got lucky with not only 1 but 2 Chevy’s from the worst decade in all of GM history.

Don't feel to bad, with how flimsy mine were I didn't have any either.

The BMWs of the 90s and early 2000s were nothing short of amazing. A truly great time period to own one.

Good ol’ CRX Si!! My older brother got one of those when it was brand new, ran perfectly for 4 years until he totalled it.

I remember those early 90s escorts, they were pretty fun to throw around!

Sounds like a nice ride! They were never meant to be fast so nothing wrong with that

My 2008 GMC Sierra 1500! It’s like driving a big couch with a 5.3 litre V8! Also 4WD!

I have an ‘03 Yukon which is an even comfier couch with a 5.3 and AWD!

Can’t say; I’m still on my first. Though I do suspect that I’m going to remember ol’ X516 HBP pretty fondly, and not just because it got me started motoring.

I think these questions should auto-exclude first cars. We always rank them far too high!
My first car, a 79 Ford Granada is why the backcronym Fucker Only Runs Downhill exists. 2 years, 3 engines and 2 trannys. But when I finally got rid of it: It was equipped with a 5.0 from a stock car, a haunted radio (summer nights it locked on to an oldies station and no twisting of the dials would fix it).
I loved that car, but man was it crap! Out of my 11 cars owned my favorite is probably a tie between my last 2, 07 Si and 15 FR-s... But leaning strongly towards the FR-s.

In this case my first car would be my favourite no matter which order I owned them in. The car I replaced the e39 was an ‘03 Oldsmobile Alero (huge downgrade but didn’t give as many problems) and was completely numb to drive. Sold that 5 years ago and bought the ‘03 Yukon that I currently have now; again just a comfy cruiser nothing exciting. Then I just got a 2013 Jetta TDI last week which is a highway commuter with good fuel mileage. My 540i was my favourite because at the time there was nothing else like it. They don’t make them like they used to anymore.

The Atlas was actually a wonderful engine, so of course GM canned that one.

Well then, by definition, it’s your favorite. Out with it, man!

When it was running well my Alfa. No doubt. However the car I wish I had back was my Honda Civic awd wagon.

My 98 Dodge Dakota, Red V6 RWD standard cab short bed. It was a hoonfest

I really like my current Mazda 3 5dr hatch manual, but the 1990 base, no rear bumper, beat to heck, paint all peeling off nissan hardbody I used to have is my favorite. Hit a deer? No problem! Stolen for weeks? No problem! Hit by a drunk? No problem! Need to haul a load of horse manure? No problem!

Thanks! It’s pretty solid, half the interior is out right now though, and I need to get the rust-free hatch replaced.
I can’t wait for the tune, haha. It’s going to be amazing.

Probably this one. 1992 Prelude Si. Had that thing for a good 6 years...longer than I’ve had any other car. I’ve been giving thought to buying another and restoring it (most I see are beyond trashed).

That's a sweet looking car! I like that gen of prelude the best. Agreed on the trashed part though, it's hard to find one that hasn't been molested or neglected.
