After the kobolds have been slain, an eerie quiet falls on the entire dungeon. Rogue searches for traps and finds a large door that opens upwards. Paladin lifts the door, and behind it sits a 1991 Miata, with worn suspension but otherwise mechanically sound. Meanwhile, Wizard notices a hidden chest in a dark corner, and Paladin forces it open with his longsword. Inside is five thousand dollars.
You are Mechanic. What do you do?

I take my share of the loot, then clean up the Miata for sale to a comely maiden in Baldur's Gate or Luskan. There's no special reason to state its full value to the Wizard and Paladin, now is there?

Considering that Animate Object is a sixth level spell for bards, I suspect the wizard knows jack and shit about using magic to fix cars unless he's taken cross-class ranks in Knowledge: Architecture and Engineering.

Mechanic suggests loading cash in Miata. Group agrees much to Rogues dismay.
There is only enough room for a driver. Group agrees Mechanic should take considering capabilities.
Mechanic drives off abandoning group. Car explodes. Rogue failed to search vehicle for traps. Rogue smiles.
