RTT = Roof Top Tent. Its really far back, which is strange. My guess, judging by the fact that its on yakima towers is that he doesn't know what he's really doing but sure doesn't want to cover up that roof skylight. RTT are heavy (200-300 lbs) and putting them way over the back axle when they are already up so high is a bad idea.

Its really not THAT big a deal, it just looks goofy.
