Kinja'd!!!

I was washing my car today and had to take a shot of my entirely perfect, mirror finish paint... That's a lie, my paint is not that great — depressing once you get into it. Looks good from 10 feet or certain angles, though!

If you just know what my car is from my previous posts then don't be a cheater and answer! Though it will only take about 14 seconds before someone opens up the page, calmly takes a sip of coffee and then says exactly what it is and with what options before they even finish the sip. You guys are nuts.

Yes.

Took over two whole minutes though!

What's wrong with the paint? Just the usual rock chips and scratches?

Yeah, rock chips, scratches, some clearcoat issues, but mostly the front and rear bumper are fading pretty badly. Pretty typical for this car, especially in black. Damn that cheap plastic Nissan used!

Damn. The paint on my E34 is pretty bad as well. It's frustrating working on new cars with beautiful paint all day, only to get in to your own and be disappointed. Someday I'll save up the money for a proper respray.

It hurts, doesn't it? Especially when really getting in there and washing it, you notice every little flaw and each one takes a little nibble out of your soul.

I texted my GF right after that telling her that between an expensive wedding and a good paint job... and now I'm in trouble.
