It's a food runner/prepper/expeditor at a country club.

I have some experience serving before but have terrible anxiety so I'm over thinking everything

I spent a summer working for a country club back in college (late '80s). I was responsible for keeping up the clay tennis courts and having them ready for morning play. The job itself was okay, but dealing with the arrogant, rich club members was a drag. They treated all the staff like shit. Your mileage may vary. I hope it works out for you.

it was! One owner and under 35k miles! This was their Florida car that sat in a garage 8 months out of the year. No rust either. I told them they have a virtual unicorn at this point.

I'm a bit worried about that honestly. This is a super expensive place (average home is around $600K) I'm just glad I'm mostly in the back of house!

I spent a year at a retirment home though as a server so I'm hoping that prepared me

Rad! Also, serving is one of the toughest most under-appreciated jobs ever. I was a host for a little while, I have no idea how people do it. Pays well if you've got what it takes, though.

super expensive is all in loaction reality. Where I grew up, yeah that's damn posh but where I am now that's a regular 4-bedroom job near town.

You'll be fine. I found that playing to their arrogance helped. You just have to swallow a bit of your pride and collect your check. This club was in southeastern VA, and ALL the members were white Anglo Saxon Protestants (WASPs). All the wait staff was black. I think they liked it that way. The head maintenance guy was a former Navy machinist, though, and I learned a ton of mechanical stuff from him. He and I were actually the only white staff members. It was a decent job, but I wouldn't do it again.

Fair point honestly. Average home here is around $120k now and median income is around $24k so to me... Its quite posh
