I'll be honest, I don't really know much about Porsches. I saw this yesterday and was intrigued. What is it? I know it's a 911 Cabriolet of some kind.

It's a 993.

Is it a special kind? The wing looks special.

Welp, for starters it is a 993, which refers to the chassis code for this body style and differentiates between the different styles of 911s over the years. The 993 was the last chassis built with an air-cooled engine and is considered by some to be the last true Porsche. The wheels look like a style off a later-model 911 (maybe a 996?).

That looks like a 993 Turbo Cabriolet. An early one too since it's missing the air intakes behind the doors in the fenders.

Not really. Just a Turbo-style wing.

Definitely not a Turbo cab. There were only 14 993 Turbo Cabs made. You could get the factory "turbo look" package, which is probably what this has.

Hey...unrelated to this post:
It's recently come to my attention that an oppo author is quite probably plagiarizing content from a non-english speaking blog and passing it off as his own. When asked about it he dismissed my comment.
Is there any kind of protocol for this or just ignore?

I'm not a fan of that, and I know we've taken people to task over it in the past. Drop us a line at oppomoderator@gmail.com and let us know what's up.
