Kinja'd!!!

Stuck by way of maintenance woes, here is what greeted me outside my hotel. I guess you big city types grew up with the noise but honking and delivery trucks were the wake-up call out my window. Not for me man.

I

wonder if the main Jalopoffice likes random kinja commenters dropping by to chat about whatevers. Someday maybe.

On another note, what jalopponautnik is travelling out of LaGuardia this afternoon?

That looks nice man. On my way to the laundromat last night, I passed a mustang parked next to a challenger parked next to camaro, I wanted to snap it, but there wasn't anywhere to park really. I'll try today. I had that Challenger out on the weeken (for sale, went on a test drive) d...OMG I am in love. It was R/T with da big V8.

my wife and kids are flying out of JFK today.

Nice Evo. I drove mine down to the airport today and and was thinking that even after 12 years of ownership that I still love driving the car. Effortless.

I've had it since new in 2003. 150k miles on it now. Still just a great car. Our "new" car is our 2005 Cooper S. Still hiding up well.

My mom has a 2005 Mini (not S) and we have had to get the valves cleaned a lot. I kind of heard the "S" was notorious for that. Has yours suffered that problem?

pro tip when visiting NY, try to use JFK instead. LGA is a PITA

source - living in Lawn Guyland and NYC for 24 years

It's hard to avoid LGA when I fly the plane and they tell me to fly it there.

You at least get a hotel in Manhattan? Or one of the murdertown ones out by LGA?

no. How did the problem manifest itself? I had to replace the time belt tensioner due to a bad rattle. I was afraid the plastic fittings inside had broken, but the tensioner cured the problem with no other issues. We replaced a leaking engine mount as well. I think the valve cover gasket it leaking a bit as I can smell a bit of burnt oil on shut down. Seems to be a common problem.
