My adopted home state can't get enough interest in lifting the direct-sales ban, to the surprise of absolutely no one.

It's not going to change the dealership system. The people in the market for a Tesla aren't going to be taking their business away from Chevy/Ford/Toyota/etc. dealerships.

Plain and simple: dealerships are afraid of becoming obsolete. Imagine if Circuit City or Service Merchandise had this much clout with state governments over Amazon.

One would think that Texas (as pro-capitalist as it is) of all places, would have been one of the first to pass it. We need to get this done.

Principles before interests.

With a legislature, principle always wins . . . . until the principle collides with bribery, I meant campaign contributions.
