*these are going off of the lobby ordering which I'm not sure is entirely accurate. If I scored anyone incorrectly let me know and I'll change it.
CURRENT STANDINGS:
I have three exams this week so forgive me for not taking the time to organize the full standings. Points of interest include movement at the top with RoboRed taking over first in the standings thanks to me getting spun out a few times as well as well as my controller running out of battery and dontbethatguy joining us for the first race. Also topsirloin you have 36pts, not 28 after this race, I'm just too lazy to take another screencap.
RACE NOTES:
- We had a lot of connection problems this week and as such the race ended up being shortened. I have a Type-1 NAT type plugged directly into the wall running at 200Mb/s so it must be something on your guys' end. Before next week please check your NAT type and if it's anything other than open go !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and port-forward your router.
- Finally, and most importantly, there was too much contact this week. If you're new to online racing it'd probably be advisable to spend a few hours a week in public lobbies figuring out how to race; this isn't Need For Speed or GRID, not every corner is a passing opportunity and you really have to be on your toes while in traffic so you don't fuck up someone else's race. This will be the only time I'll say this nicely. Drive like a dick next week and expect to get called out and penalized accordingly.
- Also I don't know when this stopped being a thing but if you knock someone else off track you pull off and wait for them to rejoin before heading back out yourself.
UPCOMING RACES:
4/18: B450 @ TBD (topsirloin ran a few laps at IMS and found it boring as hell so I'll get on and see how miserable it is in the B-class cars. I'll post Thursday night with the lap time and track so in the meantime you guys can hop on yourselves and give me your input. If we don't do IMS it'll probably be the Nurburgring GP track or Maple Valley)
4/25: A550 @ IMS

Maple Valley, two wheels fun! Let's do it. Clip all the apexes, hump all the curbs!

Didn't you just move like a month ago??

Sunset Peninsula was only a precursor to the horror that will be Maple Valley. Destruction will be complete and total.
Leaning towards the Nurburgring GP track but I think we need some lols after the last few weeks. Having everyone roll every other lap might just do it.

Sure...

So, first off, I think I owe everyone an apology, especially ly2v8-Brian (Kampfmesser). I threw a hissy fit when I got punted off the track when he passed on the inside of turn nine. Then I passed him back on the inside of the hairpin rather aggressively and was a dick for a lap or two. I realized this and ultimately put myself in last place.
Secondly, I am a little confused on how this authorship thing works on OPPO. I applied for authorship a few weeks ago and didn't get a reply. But last night I was half awake and made a post on what I thought was my personal blog, but I woke up with 15 replies. I looked at my "Post to:" drop down on the "Compose Post" and it gives me the option of posting to Oppositeock or Autofixation. I had never noticed this before.
Does the post to OPPO option mean I have authorship, or is this just me getting a little ahead of myself and I'll get in trouble if I post to the FP?

Wondered what went on there. I'm drafting a formal set of rules to follow when racing with us for the remainder of the series/next ones we start up so we can call people out specifically for doing dumb shit, seems like every week someone different else bitches about getting spun out or whatever and I'm tired of it.
The option to post to Oppo means you have authorship, can't really get in trouble for something you're already approved you for.

Port forward? I thought I was tech savvy but this is out of my league. If I haven't had connection issues thus far, is it something I need to worry about?
Nurb GP would get my vote. Maple Valley would be pretty hairy. If everyone loves IMS then by all means use that track! I was just offering some input since it was alarmingly dull IMO, but I'd still race it!

Thanks to NAT-types (which is what you're changing when you port-forward) you could be causing someone else connection problems while having none yourself, so for all we know you're the sole cause of all our issues (or anyone could be, for that matter). I'm not sure if NAT types are solely to blame but I'm guessing it plays a big part since Cherry Man used to not be able to join anyone before he port-forwarded, and because last week's problems were most likely caused by me being an idiot and running my Internet through my router instead of directly into the Xbox (plugging your Xbox directly into the wall automatically gives you a Type-1/open NAT type). If you don't want to do it that's fine but it would help us nail down where all our problems are coming from.
And I think we'll do Maple Valley. I dunno, no one really liked IMS last year in the GT series because it was a really boring race (apart from RoboRed divebombing the first corner like a fucking champ) so we might as well inject some life into this series with the most perilous track in the game.

My router is wireless, as far as cables out of the router go.. There's a co-ax cable into the back of it, but I don't have an Ethernet cable or jack like some of them used to use. I'll see if I can figure out a way to do it when I get a chance to dig through that website.
Im cool with Maple Valley. This will probably be a blast with some real lead changes for once. Will you reply to this with the time when you have it?

I'll let you know once I test it out later today, probably around 5 or 6 when I get out of class.

Any Orlove's?

4 in 6 laps lol. And they were all at the second-to-last kink before going downhill towards the start/finish line.

DAMN! This is going to be great

If every single person doesn't Orlove at least once I will be sorely disappointed. Many lols shall be had.

Dang I took the same GTA I had for the last race, same PI and tuning, and got a 1:47.5 on the 3rd lap.. You were puttin down 1:50's? Our cars are usually pretty similar. I beat you in the straights with PI, and you beat me in the corners with skill.. But we're usually within a second of each other's GTA.
![]() 04/17/2015 at 04:28 |

My car was still tuned to Suzuka so that's probably why. What PI were you at? I'm trying to walk back these times a bit so the higher-PI cars don't have such a high speed differential.
![]() 04/17/2015 at 13:00 |

I was at 465.. I'll have to drop 50 PI at least. Good idea for leveling a bit.

What’s the track for tomorrow? What kinda time we looking at? need car be strong for am good race.
![]() 04/17/2015 at 17:00 |

do we have a time for it yet as I haven’t been able to find one
![]() 04/17/2015 at 21:00 |
|
Did you settle on 1:50? Just to make sure we’re running te clockwise full circuit at Maple Valley, yes? Not the reverse or anything?
![]() 04/17/2015 at 21:32 |
|
I mean it’s kind of late to change it but yeah, 1:50’s the time, normal circuit and orientation.
![]() 04/17/2015 at 21:48 |
|
Does everyone know it’s 1:50? Just because people are going to have to take PI off and you can’t really do that last minute and still hit target time. I just see the time anywhere and figured im not the only one.
![]() 04/17/2015 at 22:37 |

I mean it was in the pre-race post I made at 6 like I always do, figure everyone who needed to see it would.
