Kinja'd!!!

First off, my cable bills days are probably numbered.

And secondly, why hasn't somebody made a Blues Brothers driving game?

On your first point: Here is what I did.

I asked myself how much I watched TV (About an hour a week).

I then asked myself what that 1 hour a week was worth to me, and decided $20 was I thought cable was worth every month.

Finally I asked can I get the channels I watch (Discovery, History, H2, Starz, BBC) in any configuration for about $20 a month.

IN the end, Cable is turned off. I don't miss it one bit. I also have no clue if over the air television still exists. Going out for a drive and maybe a walk. See you all in a few hours ;)

I don't even own a TV. I get all my content online and watch it on my PC.

Have you thought about Sling TV? It's Dish's upcoming cable-over-internet service that provides some cable channels for $20/month. I thought about getting it but my base DSL shits the bed if more than one person uses it and I only ever watch sports.

I have sling. Works well we have the sports package so I was able to watch the tournament last week. Does take a ton of bandwidth though.

I'm really thinking about Sling TV. If they had FoxSports 1 and NBCSports it would be a no brainer. The only reason I still have cable is for motorsports so once I can find a good option to view them I'll cut the cord.

Between my PS4, tablet, and PC I'm getting there. Just live sports in general are what have kept me paying the cable bill.

NBCSN on there? F-1 is about all I need TV for.

Yes, over the air tv still exists. If you have an HDTV you can just hook up an antenna and get the networks in HD. Plus most of the local channels now have secondary channels with random other stuff on them as well.

No NBCSports, if it and foxsports 1 where there I would have switched.

Yes, I have an HDTV, might look into the antennae so I can get the news (although I much prefer reading the news anyway)

Thanks to the good ol’ intertube warez scenez, I see all the TV I want at no cost.

Getting a Chromecast has made me realize TVs are just remote second monitors useful for watching TV shows without occupying space on my laptop screen.
