I picked one up from NY a couple years ago when traveling for the same reason, it was cheaper than getting it in VA.

I got one in VA after they did away with the monthly service charge so I could use the toll roads around RVA and for when I occasionally make trips up to NY to visit family. I will never travel up north without it.

PA is like $3 a year in user fees. What's NC cost?
