Got bored and decided to take a group photo. And now the magical part where I make this remotely car related; If I sold them all I could buy a nice lightly used Miata or new Kia Rio. And when they’re all in their cases they probably occupy almost as much space as the Miata. Now who can identify them?
Note: I am not of Native American descent, nor do I live in the southwest. For some reason, even in the early 90s, my parents thought this would be a good look for the basement...

That's a damn nice collection you got yourself there.

I can identify them.
They're guitars.
They are all guitars.
:-D

I want the Jaguar and the Tele.

Is that a Gretsch?

A friend of mine is exactly the same. He only has three guitars, but each is worth around £2,000. He's broke and rarely plays them, but he could never part with them. NEVAR.

those are some nice rics

Yep. 1967 Double Anniversary. Previous owner refinished it brown and added the Bigsby for a more Harrison look.

If I had to choose between the two I probably would have kept the Ash one. I'm not a big Telecaster guy, or Fender for that matter. But I liked the Korean G&L Tele with P90s I picked up in a trade, and the CS rosewood one is because I'm a George Harrison fan.

Thank you sir.

Thanks. Luckily I picked them up over 8 years ago before the prices skyrocketed.

(cant reply to the OP for some reason)

lol I was going to ask "who can name them" but then I remembered the time somebody posted a picture of a parking lot asking the same question, and me being the wisenheimer I am litterally gave them people names.

Not a Harmony Master. Think older and more obscure.

No problemo. What model Telecaster is that? Looks pretty sweet.

Wow...looks exactly like a HM. It's not an Electro-Spanish but maybe another old Ricki?

Custom Shop Closet Classic Rosewood Telecaster. Basically a reproduction of Harrison's from the Let it Be era.

Well, that big black chunk is the original horseshoe pickup like Rickenbacker used. That should clue you in on the age. But not a Rickenbacker.

Huh, cool. Never seen one like it before.

They wanted the Ash one, and I wouldnt sell the copper one any ways. That my first one I built.

Yea. They never made a lot to begin with. And to be honest, there's nothing particularly remarkable about it aside from the use of rosewood, which makes it about as dense as a black hole and a lot more expensive than if they used just about any other wood. I mean it plays and sounds amazing, but so do some Teles that cost 1/5 the price, or less. So they mostly end up in the hands of collectors and Harrison fans.

Nice collection. It truly is an addiction. Here's my small collection, minus my Alvarez acoustic. What do you play them through?

Sweeeeet. And the bottom left is a Danelectro right?

Your post the other night was my inspiration to get them all out. My acoustic in the top left is an early 70s Japanese Martin copy made by Alvarez. Pretty decent guitar. I play them through this little beast; a 1970 Fender Twin Reverb with the JBL D-120F speakers. Sumbitch weighs 76.3 pounds.
DEM TUBES GLOE!

Nice! A good tube amp is next on my bucket list. Right now I just play through a Line 6 Spider IV 75w.

Nope. Hold the Dan. It's a 1967 Electro ES-16. Electro was one of Rickenbacker's student brands in the 60's, thus it's a tiny little single pup short scale. They were made in the same factory using the same parts, but iff you wanted a different color or nicer finish, then you would just pay a bit more for the Rickenbacker version. Capo the 3rd fret and there's your fret spacing. For scale:

Nice. I'd recommend a small tube amp. My twin is almost overkill. It gets too loud before you can enjoy the nice tones. So I have to wait until nobody's home.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Most of my playing is in the bedroom so I'm figuring something 10 watts or less.

Whole lotta Rics.

And no Gibsons... how 'bout that... Maybe an SG with maestro vibrato will be next.

Oh fine...
Not mine, but same year and all.

That is very cool. You have a great collection. I have a more modest collection with a couple of gems. Grew-up playing a '59 6120 which is still in the family. I find guitars are way worse of an addiction than cars because at least with cars there is a physical constraint... unless you own a barn.
