I hate doing these kinds of things, it feels very awkward. One of my fiancee's best friends was just diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her ovary or uterus, and she has to miss a lot of work while she gets surgery and recovers. Her husband works, but not enough for them to get by. They have a five year old son and a seven month old daughter, rent, utilities, and car payment to make, which they won't easily be able to afford on one income. Friends have set up a GoFundMe page for her, with a goal of $3,000. $250 has been raised so far in a week as of this writing. She's going to be out of work for over a month, and that's going to hurt them very bad financially. If anyone could donate, it would be wonderful. I feel very awkward and uncomfortable asking people here, or in general, for money, but this woman and my fiancee have been friends for many years, and she's a great person. Very positive outlook overall, and their kids are a joy to be around. However you can help, it would be great.
You guys and girls are some of the genuinely nicest people I've ever experienced in my years online, and I really do not want to take advantage of your kindness. I'm just trying to help a friend and her family.
