Well I was going to have a lazy day drinking and generally binging out on food. Alas I saw a neighbour and brought up his weekend car (his daily driver is a Mk6 Ford Fiesta) a Triumph Spitfire 1500 in conversation of which he said, 'lets go and see it and bring it back round if you like'. So we went round to get her and she well stalled quite violently a couple of times on the way back but otherwise very pleasant drive.
Wiped her down with a QD then went over with a sealant for protection, polished and sealed the brightwork and dressed the lower valance and tyres.
The paintwork is in quite a poor state from the previous owner's poor attempt at a respray and the brightwork is heavily tarnished and needs redone but as she stands, she still is a thing of classic beauty.

Thays what I would call a 20-20 paint job.
Looks good 20 feet away doing 20 mph.
I guess that makes the Taurus a 100-100

There are so many small issues with her but they don't matter when your standing looking at her.

Id rather have those problems and all that character than a new car.

So true. Though maybe something a little bigger as it turns out my body isn't suitable for Triumph size vehicles.
