If it's a decent deal, jump on it. I've driven the SLs and I absolutely love them. The hardtop is awesome, super comfortable car, the V12 is a beast. Sounds like a great way to have a really special car.

You should be able to make it up reasonably quick. Around 4700 for 100,000 miles with the lowest deductible. But I was reading online, most people said that you need to budget at least 3-4k per year for maint.

Yeah, but remember the warranty doesn't really cover maintenance — the question is how much of that $3-4k goes to repairs. $4700 is pretty good; I would do it if I were buying that car.
