...so his kids have decided it's time to part with the car." Just heard on Chasing Classic Cars.

Would give a whole new meaning to resurrection for my kids after I rose from the grave and disemboweled those fuckers with a bayonet for pulling a stunt like this. Better to leave them nothing instead.

meh.

If my kids weren't into cars like I was, then why would I want them to hold on to it?

I would want them to sell it so that somebody else could enjoy it*...

This sounds a lot like an organ donor lecture...

*fuck it, let's face it, the NART Spyder isn't being driven, it's being held onto by some 1% hedge fund, who will maybe drive it 10mi every decade.

I saw that episode. They gave all the money to charity, and it went for a lot of money. If they weren't enjoying the car, why not put it out there for someone else to enjoy? At least it will be preserved, it's people who let cars rot in their driveways or the woods that drive me crazy.

Yep... Real greedy...

Eddie Jr. has announced that the proceeds from the $25 million sale price will go to charity.

A. It's great that it wasn't a money grab

B. If you're not going to use it then it's absolutely the right thing to do to get rid of it

But C. I just can't imagine letting that car go given your father's love for the car, having owned it from new, putting what is a lot of miles for a vintage Ferrari on it, and being self-described car guys. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
