Saw this cool little all electric FedEx truck in San Francisco today. Front name badge is missing. It looks like ‘THE FUTURE’(!).

It's a Navistar (International) eStar. That Truck of the Future is also already out of production.

They were originally made in the UK by Modec who subsequently went broke. The assets were bought by Navistar who had been making their vans under licence.

Sadly it's not so much the future as the past. The British company that these are licenced to be made in the U.S. to, went out of business a few years ago. The rights and company changed hands a few times and consiquently a company has the rights to maintain existing units. Not sure how the situation went with the licenced manufacturers in the U.S. Though.
