Me gusta. Genuine SSR Type-C's, 18x7.5, +42 offset; all wrapped with some sticky 235/40 Yokohama Advan AD08's. These wheels, along with the Eibach Pro-Kit/KYB GR2 spring-strut combo that are on this thing means she shall be ready and willing for a track day or two.
Taking the "Camry" out of the Camry, one step at a time. Sometimes, you just have to work with what you've got!

First camry ever to make my funny bits tingly

Japan kind of already has one, I just can't remember what it's called.

Nice! Where are you planning on tracking it?
![]() 04/06/2015 at 14:50 |

Indeed! Specifically, the headlights and grille.
Gonna get a lip spoiler for the rear instead of the bigger stock one; something more suttle.

Most likely Mosport (ahem, Canadian Tire Motorsports Park).

Embrace the tingle. Embrace it.

Awesome. Do you think it'll need any braking/cooling mods to help it with a track day?
![]() 04/06/2015 at 15:18 |

Cooling shouldn't be an issue, braking could be however, so I'm thinking SS lines, pads and fluid should do the trick.
I could always do a big brake kit on the cheap by putting some highlander brakes on the front, if necessary.

Nice! Is yours a V6? If so, make sure to be on the lookout for a TRD Supercharger kit. Although rare, they are awesome.

Mine is a V6, but since its newer than 02, it has VVT-i, and the TRD kit doesn't work with those newer motors :(

That's too bad. Also, how many 02 sensors have you had to replace?
![]() 04/07/2015 at 12:45 |

Only one, on the front bank of the motor. Funny you ask that, as the pain of replacing it lead to this: http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/2014-cadillac-…

My family's 01 Sienna with VVT-i blew six. It appears to be a weakness of the 1MZ-FE.

Are you on ToyotaNation.com? If not you should. There is a friend of mine on there by the username punksnotdead, he has a gen 5 Camry that he tracks at mosports every summer. He may be going supercharged this summer.

I am on Toyota Nation, have been since January '12! And yes, I know Justin well, I am actually running his exact old suspension setup on my car as last year he switched to coilovers. He also helped me find these wheels through another former Toyota Nation member... He's getting the supercharger from the same person I got my wheels from.

Nice I've been on there since 2005. I also know the guy who sold him the supercharger I am good friends with both of them. you should come hang out with us in the summer. i'm sure Justin has told you about the meets.
